An original oil pastel on paper. This piece is part of an ongoing series examining how the human figure can be formally integrated into surrounding elements as I investigate the many ways in which we remain connected to nature depsite how we've separated ourselves from it in our daily lives. The figure here is caught behind layers of brightly lit leaves and blossoms so that their face is barely perceptible as a different form from all the other elements present.
This piece is unframed, and will be shipped in a sturdy folio with an archival tissue overlay to protect it during shipping. Due to the nature of oil pastel, the surface is easily scratched or smudged. You may notice slight transfer of the pastel onto the tissue during shipping - this is normal, please remove the tissue gently.
Please handle with utmost care, using clean or gloved hands to handle at the paper's edge - never touch the front of the artwork itself as the oils and friction from your hands will cause damage.
