An original oil pastel on paper. This piece is part of an ongoing series examining swimmers and how they become one with the water they're in. The figure is moving gracefully, yet almost hesitantly, towards the right in a freshwater location that is very green due to the reflection of surrounding foliage.
This work is in an archival, matte white frame, with UV non-glare acrylic glazing that filters 99% of harmful UV rays. The work is set "floating" style so that the painting sits on top of a mat instead of being contained by one (see example in image carousel above).
As with all art it is best not to handle the work. If needed, please handle with clean hands from the edges only as the oils of your hands can cause damage long term. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight to prevent color loss. To clean, simply dust the frame with a soft cloth.
