An original soft pastel on black paper. Through light, color, and marksmaking, a figure wearing yellow almost dissolves into the bright foliage towards the center of the image, so that they are just discernable against their surroundings. This demonstrates that through careful consideration we can become a part of the naturual world we're so often disconnected from.
This work is in an archival, matte black frame, with UV non-glare acrylic glazing that filters 99% of harmful UV rays. The work is set "floating" style so that the painting sits on top of a mat with handcrafted spacers to separate the acrylic glazing from the work in the frame.
As with all art it is best not to handle the work directly - due to the nature of soft pastel, the surface is easily smudged. If needed, please handle with clean hands from the edges only as the oils of your hands can cause damage long term. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight. To clean, simply dust the frame with a microfiber cloth and use a plexiglas-friendly spray for the glazing.
